Just pressure washing is making a big difference.
I arrived to the boat armed with bleach, a bucket, rags and boat soap. I thought the task at hand would take only a few hours, but I was at it for almost 10 hours. It was a process, to say the least. It was in the mid 90s, so the weather was not very helpful. I really wanted to make sure that I removed all of the mold and mildew from the interior. I would put a mask on, go into the cabin with a spray bottle full of bleach, and spray until I couldn’t take the fumes or the heat any longer. I let the bleach sit for a few minutes, then hosed out the interior. Of course, the only way I was able to get the bleach water out of the boat was to remove it by hand, with sponges and a bucket. That wasn’t very efficient, so it became clear pretty quickly that I was going to have to get a shop vac. The lunch hour was spent picking one up, as well as Starbrite Hull Cleaner. Boy, does that stuff work! As you can see, cleaning day was a success. Now I can really see what I have to work with here. https://www.flickr.com/gp/christinedalton/5cj9NK
